1. Your team records the day
A photo and a sentence. An observation tagged to an area. A milestone marked "emerging" when you see it. The diary of feeds, naps and moods that parents read anyway. Nothing extra.
The progress check at age two is the one piece of writing the EYFS still asks for, and it usually gets done on a Sunday night from memory. Press one button and the three prime areas, strengths, next steps and what parents can do at home are drafted from the observations, milestones and diary your team already kept.
You read it back, change what you like, and save. Nothing saves itself.
Part of the Complete plan — £30 a month for your whole setting, no per-child fees.
Every line traces to a dated observation or a milestone your staff recorded.
The child, other children and staff become "the child", "another child" and "a colleague" before anything is sent.
The key person reads it back, edits, and presses Save. The PDF prints what they saved, not what the model said.

Any time between their second and third birthday, open the 2-yr check tab and press Draft from the record. It reads the last 90 days of observations, the latest status for each milestone and the diary as a pattern, and fills every box of the check.
Read it against what you know of the child. Change a sentence, delete one, add the parent's comment. Save, and the PDF is ready for the parent and the health visitor.
Three notes about understanding, one about talking, and a milestone still emerging. The draft turned that into "worth keeping a close eye on", suggested a warm conversation with the parent, and offered the health visitor as the next step if the parent agrees.
It never names a condition and never says a child has a delay. Where the record is thin it says so, in a note the parent never sees, so the team knows what to observe next.
Observations with their area tags, milestone statuses, and a summary of the diary. No photos, no dates of birth, no contacts, no medical, accident or safeguarding records. Section 7a of the privacy policy lists it exactly.
Our AI provider processes the request and does not retain the content or use it to train its models. The same terms that cover Polish with AI.
The button sits with the people who write the check. A fair-use limit per person per hour is plenty for a cohort and stops anyone leaning on it.
A child with no observations and no milestones gets a plain message instead, and nothing is sent. Add a few observations across the prime areas first.
It is starting it. The check is a statutory document in the key person's name, so the draft is read back and edited before anything is saved. The PDF prints what you saved.
Change it. Every box is an ordinary text box. If a sentence is not something you would say yourself, delete it. Two presses can word things differently, so pick the one you prefer and edit from there.
Not yet. It is part of the Complete plan for nurseries and pre-schools. The 2-yr check tab itself, pre-filled from milestones, is there for every setting.
No. The "For you, not the parent" note about evidence gaps is shown on screen to staff and is never saved or printed.
One short observation a week per child is enough. Try it on a real two-year-old during your free trial.
